Waxing involves brief discomfort as hair is removed from the root, but pain varies by sensitivity. To reduce discomfort, avoid caffeine, take a mild pain reliever an hour beforehand if appropriate, practice deep breathing, and follow esthetician tips. Regular waxing often feels less painful over time.
