Get answers to common questions about introductory massage.

During your Introductory Massage you'll have a brief consultation, posture and tension assessment, then receive a balanced, customized treatment focusing on immediate areas of concern. Therapists explain techniques and recommend follow-up options to build an ongoing wellness plan tailored to your needs.

Sessions typically run 60 minutes, including consultation and assessment time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to complete intake forms. Booking is available online or by phone; our staff will help select an appropriate therapist and recommend session frequency based on your initial evaluation.

Generally yes, but please disclose any medical conditions, medications, recent surgeries, or pregnancy during booking. Our therapists adapt techniques for safety and effectiveness, and may advise consulting your physician when complex health issues are present prior to treatment.

Absolutely. Therapists discuss your comfort level during consultation and adjust pressure and technique accordingly. The Introductory Massage is designed to introduce styles and determine preferences, so feel free to communicate pressure, areas to focus on, or techniques you enjoyed for future sessions.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable; most clients undress to their comfort level and are draped professionally. Therapists only expose the area being worked on and maintain privacy throughout. If you prefer to keep certain clothing on, inform your therapist beforehand.

Side effects are usually mild, like temporary soreness or increased fatigue. Certain conditions—acute injuries, infections, uncontrolled blood pressure, or recent surgeries—may contraindicate massage. Disclose health history during intake so therapists can modify or postpone treatment for your safety.
