Get answers to common questions about Acne Clarifying / Deep Cleansing Facial.
The treatment begins with a professional skin analysis, followed by deep cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions as needed. Specialized anti-acne masks, calming serums, and targeted treatments restore balance. Final steps include SPF application and personalized at-home care advice to maintain results.
Most clients experience only mild, brief discomfort during extractions. We use soothing protocols, topical anesthetics on request, and calming masks to minimize pain. Temporary redness or tenderness can occur but typically resolves within a day or two.
Frequency depends on severity. For active acne, facials every 2–3 weeks for four to six sessions are common. After clearing, monthly maintenance and consistent homecare preserve results. Your esthetician will recommend a personalized schedule based on your skin’s response.
Always disclose topical or oral acne medications before treatment. Strong retinoids, recent chemical peels, or isotretinoin may increase sensitivity and require modifications or deferral. Your esthetician will assess risk, adjust techniques, and coordinate with your prescriber if needed to ensure safe, effective care.
Downtime is minimal for most: mild redness, tenderness, or flaking may last 24–72 hours. Avoid heavy makeup, exfoliants, and direct sun for a couple days. We'll provide aftercare instructions and recommend gentle products to support recovery.
Arrive with a clean face and avoid makeup the day of treatment. Disclose medications, recent procedures, or allergies ahead of time. Your esthetician may ask you to pause retinoids or strong acids for several days before treatment.
