Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Paraffin for feet.

Paraffin for feet works by applying warmed, oil-based wax that traps heat and opens pores. Increased circulation allows oils to penetrate deeply, providing intensive hydration, softening rough skin, and delivering therapeutic warmth to relieve discomfort.

Most clients with sensitive skin tolerate the treatment well; we use controlled temperatures and perform a brief skin test first. Inform your therapist of allergies, circulatory issues, or open wounds—treatment may be adjusted or contraindicated in some cases.

A typical paraffin application takes about 20–30 minutes. When combined with a foot soak, exfoliation and massage it may extend to 45–60 minutes depending on chosen add-ons and individual needs.

For chronic dryness or therapeutic relief, schedule paraffin once weekly to biweekly. Maintenance every two to four weeks helps sustain hydration and comfort; your therapist will recommend a personalized frequency based on results.

Paraffin’s gentle, sustained heat can temporarily relieve joint stiffness and pain by increasing circulation and relaxing surrounding tissues. It often provides soothing relief, but it is not a cure—consult your physician for severe or inflammatory conditions.

Contraindications include open sores, active infections, uncontrolled diabetes, poor circulation, recent fractures, or severe neuropathy. Always disclose medical history; our therapists will assess safety and suggest alternative treatments if paraffin is unsuitable.
